Hi. First of all don't try this.

ok

i got a big (like 5 inch in diameter) circle magnet and was messing with it and then for some stupid reason i put it next to my computer screen and it screwed the colors and stuff. its so hard to even write this. anybody know how to fix that?

Unfixable....get a new screen.

theres a thing that the computer automatically does called Degaussing which fixes that on a lower scale. but if you go as far as to actually put a magnet up, yeah... youre basically screwed.

I WENT THROUGH MY MONITOR SETTINGS AND DEGAUSSED IT. NOW I CAN SCREW WITH MAGNETS WHENEVER I WANT TO. THANKS.

Get a sock and rub it until it's loaded with static electricity then wipe the static off the monitor. There's a very stupid story behind how I know that.

There actually is a tool to fix this. We use it quite often in vending since some games that come in have messed up monitors. I forget what its called, but its like a big, thin doughnut that you plug in. You hold a button down and wave it around the front of the screen. Viola, poblem solved. My teacher uses his personal one to fix peoples tv's at $50 a pop. He says its a great way to make money cause people think its majic :rolleyes:

Just grab the same magnet you used to screw the screen, and do the same thing again but with the magnet the other way round, it reverses it.

For future reference.
