This could be a very cool show. Dweezil Zappa touring with the ensemble, and I heard somewhere that Steve Vai is involved. Can't confirm that. Check it out--there's some cool vid of Dweezil jamming, edited together with Frank.

It could be an absolutely awesome show  - as long as Steve Vai is NOT involved.

That's fine man. Everybody has got to have some guitarist that they don't like to go with the ones they do.

Let me guess, you listened to a couple tracks of his once and didn't like them.

Come on this is not worth getting in a fight about. He doesn't like him, he's allowed to not like him. Can we not do this, please?

It's fine with me. I just found it odd but I guess there was a time I didn't listen to him either.

I'm not getting into a fight... I'm merely taking a guess.

The first time I heard him, I actually liked him. It was his rendition of Beethoven's 5th, and I thought that was cool, because I hadn't heard much neo-classical stuff before that, and I really like Beethoven. Before I went out to buy one of his CDs, however, I downloaded "For The Love of God" off the 'net, and I hated it. It was technically dazzling, but I just thought it was cheese. I gave him two more chances - I borrowed Passion and Warfare off a friend, and I watched the G3 DVD - but I just couldn't get into his stuff. I don't know, maybe I'm just a bit weird...
