i can't get sound to my computer when i plug the guitar in to amp, and from the amp's heaphone plug to computer. but i get a good clean sound when i plug the guitar straight to the computer, so my question is, will my computer break if i plug the guitar to a BOSS DS-1 distortion pedal, and from the pedal to computer???

I think it should be fine as long as u keep the levels correct. I used a BOSS GT-3 the same way with good results.
