Well. I have quite an old fender mustang, and she is starting to age quite a bit. The intonation is WAY off on the high e string, and adjusting the bridge did not seem to help. Not to mention some other minor problems that have occured over time. I have decided that it is time to put the mustang to rest and get a new guitar. I like to play blues, and classic rock.(hendrix, SRV, zeppelin, etc) I have been really drawn into the appeal of stratocasters. Especially the deluxe players strat. I have heard a few strats, and have been impressed with their sound quality. I was wondering if anyone had played the deluxe players strat, and had something to say about it. I have read reviews, but sometimes they dont seem to be too helpful. Also, how does the standard strat sound in comparison to others? You can give suggestions of other guitars, but i am on a tight budget, so something reasonable. Thanks

anything within a reasonable distance of 600 would be ok. less than 600 would be great.

Don't buy the standard! Buy the Deluxe Player strat, it's a giant step from the mexi- standard! Gold hardware, higher quality wood, transparent finish, Noiseless pickups, 7 pickup combinations. It's alot better!
