well, which one feels better? Which sounds better to you? I myself am partial to Fenders, but that's me and my taste. You'll probably find that the Strat has more versitility and the SG more "power."

I've got a '68 SG Standard and a newer Strat Plus. Both are nice, but I prefer the Strat which seems to be more versatile. Since buying the Strat, I rarely play the SG anymore, but that's just me. Both are definately good guitars - you should spend some time playing them and see which one you like better. Strat with a bridge humbucker can get a little closer to that Gibson sound.

I've found that even single coil Strats can get closer to a humbucker "Gibson" tone than a Les Paul or SG can get to a Fender tone, but you know sometimes their's no substitute.

I recently bought an american de luxe strat.
In a few weeks i'm gonna change the circuit of the bridge pickup. One tone pot is made into a pot to turn the middle pickup together with the neck pickup. On 0 you hear only the bridge pickup, on 10 you hear both and it gets nasal. This is a serial (or parallel i don't exactly know).

Hey thanks all for answering me.
i got the fat strat by the end, because it turned out that the sg was missed in the stock of the shop that i bought the guitar from ,and so i decided to go on the fender, which turned out to be even better than i thought
