There are a lot of stories about Jimi, but I just want to know who was "the" person that influenced him the most?

"There are a lot of stories about Jimi"

share a few

i dont know who infuenced him the most but many of his licks
are taken from Albert King and Buddy Guy
and the idea playing only with the left hand he took it from Buddy Guy

Apparently, Hendrix was really into Muddy Waters. In songs like "Voodoo Chile" and others, Jimi borrows ideas from people like Waters.

A great R'n'B player called Hubert Sumlin. Without he there would be no Hendrix. In fact hed probably still be livin on his army pension in some dump. If your starting out you cant go far wrong with Sumlin and R'n'B in genral

His father had a huge record collection - 1940s and 50s R&B and blues. Both his mother and father played (piano and sax I think). Yeah, he had some great blues influences but that's not how I see Hendrix. He had ultimate imagination and tapped something that people will still be talking about in the year 3000.
