:) Hi I'm Lucky I started playing guitar this last week so I have absolutely no idea what to do. Now my problem is I bought an old nylon string acoustic to practice on. I successfully changed the strings and tuned most of them with a Korg GA-30. Now 2B I can't get in tune no matter what I do it keeps showing up on the Tuner as 7B. If someone can give me some tips on using an electronic tuner maybe I am doing something wrong. I have already familiarized myself with the other methods of tuning but don't have the ear for them yet. Please forgive my total ignorance on subject. :D

Yeah, a friend of mine has a GA-30. If his is any indication, those are very frustrating tuners. He says that his sometimes goes to 7b and switches rapidly to 2b, back and forth fast. Either way though, it should work out. A b is a b, as far as your tuner knows. If you tune it to the 7b, it should sound the same as 2b. Hope this helps. :)
P.S.- apparently these tuners can't even tune to drop D,or anything that isn't standard. If I were you, I'd look into the CA-30 chromatic tuner (chromatic means you can tune to any note), I have one and it has never failed me.

Thanks For your help! I have been driving myself nuts for 4-5 days with this. The guy @ the store where I went to buy my tuner said it was the most accurate & durable & he highly recommended it. Also, would the same go for 1E & 6E having the same problem. :D

yeah that would be the same thing, the notes are the same just the tuner is stupid

EEEEEEEHHHHH! WRONG! The GA-30 has a chromatic option. I can use it to tune to anything.

How do you use it? Like I said I am new to all this and I could use all the help I can get.

Press the middle gray button that says flat. push it the # of notes you want to go down. So push it twice and tune the low E-string for drop D.

Oh man, that's great! Now my friend won't need a new tuner after all.

But why does the needle bounce so much between different notes?

Mines never done that. Sorry I can't help but make sure you have the volume knob turned all the way up. That might help. I don't use the mic. I plug my guitar into it. That might help if you're not doing either of those.

:( My guitar doesn't have a plug in I heard that tuning with the mic in the bathrrom works better because the bathroom has good acoustics  What do you think?

OHHH! You have an acoustic. Thats where the problem is. The mic is a little dodgy. Just find as quiet a place as you can. make sure to mute the other strings. get the tuner as close to your guitar as possible. Thats about all you can do. I'm sure it'll work out for you. A bathroom would probably work. Just set the tuner on the sink and stand as close as you can.

If you do tune up in a bathroom, you might wanna first make sure no one's in there. That's how my birthday got ruined. :)
