Does Dean produce quality guitars? What do you know about them?

I have a Dean Rhapsody fretless bass. I love it. I haven't liked the feel of every Dean I've ever played, but I think they're all of very respectable quality.

Hey Bobby.
I've a Dean Preformer.
I play mostly slide and was looking for an acoustic with a different sound. I was looking for an insturment with a cut-a-way, so I picked the Preformer.
I like the sound right off with the bottleneck I had with me at the time. I bought it.
Since then I've replaced the radial saddle with a flat one and raised the action up a bit.
It sounds good and the quiality seems to be in that $400 price range. I'm really happy with my Dean.

I have a Dean Flying V-wing and its definitely worth the money I put up for it. They know a little more about what they are doing than some other companies.

I have a Dean Stage Electric-Acoustic, which rocks and it was affordable. My friend has a Playmate and I love it. I think they have very good quality.

Don't have one, but I'v eplayed them... they are an excelent bang-for-buck instrument. Like rask said, not every one will be your style, but they're all still good instruments. I never liked the Martini, but it's a pretty cool guitar, if that style is your scene...
