Welcome to GT, I'm chris. For the record though, the free subcription gets you 150 lessons, the $5 a month gets you more than just a few online lessons, you get 2,800+ :D

howdy. yeah, i agree. because of recent music laws, we cant show most of the lessons just in case someone finds something wrong about them and shuts us all down.
but the forum is free. and just as helpful, if not moreso, than the lesson section. so welcome!
im jacob by the way. you can call me rockonn. (two n's.)

The Earthman portion of your name always makes me think of Mega Man. Y'know, Magnet Man, Wood Man, Hard Man... Earthman seems like it would fit in there easily. And it'd probably have been a bit more creative than some of their later characters. But anyway, there's really not much point behind this, just a random thought.

It always makes me think of some lame space-traveller's sidekick. Like, Flash Gordon or something.

I always did like Mega Man. Some of the best games ever. Sure they over did it a bit, but the games were still fun. I trounced Mega Man X6 over the weekend in about 5 hours.

I used to like Mega Man, until the stupid Nintendo 64 version came out. But the side-scrollers are definitely some of the best games out there, in terms of fun and originality.

man, I was just about to say how fun the N64 version was, and then I read that lol. I have only played one or two of the side scrollers (don't ask me which ones.. it was a loong time ago!) but I must say, the N64 version was the bomb! I played that game for hours on end. don't think I ever did beat it, man, I wish I could find an N64 that still works so I could play that (I have bought 2 used N64's from gamestop, both of which worked for about 2 or 3 weeks before just dieing and not turning on anymore.. the first time, it was still in the 30 day money back thing, but the second time I waited too long to take it back, so now I have a broken one sittin in my room)

One of the best N64 games ever, and one of the best multiplayer games, was that James Bond game.

You mean Goldeneye? That was pretty good, graphics notwithstanding
I actually have a fully functional N64, as well as a Super NES, Sega Genesis, and two, yes two NES, all fully functional. Plus I have a Gamecube. Not that I'm bragging... :D

Yeah man, Perfect Dark is an awesome game! I can't believe they aren't coming out with Zero on the Gamecube! That and Twighlight Princess (I CAN'T WAIT!!!) is the only reason I got one. And I'm not buying a stupid XBox360 just for that!

I'm ditching XBOX and holding my breath for the PS3. Every other game made for XBOX is a first person shooter. I hope they expand their gallery for the 360. I really enjoy playing flying sims myself. XBOX has yet to make a flying game with current planes, like the PS2's Ace Combat series. Yeah, it has a cheesy story line but I love blasting folks outta the sky and landing on a carrier, or refueling in midair. Anyway, XBOX has the better online gaming service and if Sony doesn't do something to update theirs, I will end up buying the 360 just 'cause I like to play online.

I've yet to play a large console online. I do play Madden 06 on my PSP online and MarioKart on my DS. I'm nearly unbeatable at Madden but the Japanese have Mariokart monopolized.

Nah dude, if you want the greatest N64 games, it was zelda: ocarina of time, closely followed by a game called quest, and in fact, in fact, alot of my favorite games were N64 games.. star wars rogue squadron, battlezone: rise of the black dogs (originally a PC game, which I own, but it only works on windows 95/98), command and conquer (another PC game, again, only for windows 95/98), goldeneye, etc.
I'll definately be getting an xbox 360 when I can afford one.. because elder scrolls IV: oblivion comes out on march 20th.. and I can say that hands down, elder scrolls III: morrowind (for Xbox and PC) was the absolute best game that I have ever played, ever! it wins by a mile! I played that game for well over 200 hours and still hadn't come close to doing everything you can do in that game, it's insane!
for my SNES and NES urges, I download emulators..
anyway, does anyone know how to make PC games that only work for windows 95/98 work on windows XP (home edition)?

Oh man, I can't believe I didn't mention that! That's probably one of the best games ever, on any system. Yet another reason I so eagerly await Twighlight Princess! :D

twighlight princess? is that the zelda game that is supposed to come out for gamecube that is supposed to be free-roaming like ocarina of time? well, all zelda games are free roaming.. but.. I mean.. like where you can get the horse, and ride around.. and stuff.. you know what I mean? yeah. that zelda game looks pretty sick. I might steal the gamecube from my brothers to play that one.
EDIT: ok, took me like two seconds to look up.. twilight princess is the game I was thinking of. and it comes out june 1st apparently. or september 1st.. I dunno.. I got two different dates..

Ocarina of Time was the stuff. Best ever game I've played goes to Resident Evil 4. I'm waiting for the Revolution befor I buy ant more game cube games. The last game I bought for it was Super Monkey Ball 2.

In my opinion, the best games that have come out in a long time are Metal Gear Solid 3 and Resident Evil 4. Of course I still haven't had a chance to try the new Castlevania. I'm gonna have to do something about my lack of owning it here soon.

That Revolution is looking pretty good, huh? I can't wait to play a Zelda game using that controller as a sword. :D Plus, now you can turn it on and off by remote, so you never have to stand up again! Unless you wanna change games, or go to the bathroom, or escape a fire, but I'm sure you could rig something up.

was it you that was a huge fan of morrowind? I know there was somebody on this forum that loved it almost as much as I did.. I could've sworn it was you.
Edit: nevermind, it was chucklivesoninmyheart, for some reason I always get the two of you mixed up, and I have no idea why..

you have no idea what you're missing.. the graphics are definately not something state of the art, and the load times can be pretty annoying from time to time.. but you look past that when you see the immense story line, and how many thousands of side quests you can do. the map of the game is so large that it would probably take over an hour for your character to walk from the top to the bottom (and the island is shaped kinda like africa) so long as you use no spells, or the boots of blinding speed.. and that's if you were going in a straight line.. of course, along the way you'll see several hidden caves that could contain special weapons or armor that could be extremely powerful, and you'll probably end up exploring a few, thus makng it take longer.. which is why I've never been able to walk from top to the bottom before. if you don't feel like walking, there are other methods of transportation that can take you to the other side of the map instantly. but yeah, it's awesome!

I don't doubt I'm missing something, but I suck. So, y'know. There you have it.
