yo.

just tried out for our high school's spring musical. i was pretty proud of myself, i hadnt done that good a job on a singing audition before. they made me learn a 30 second bit of one of the songs on the spot, and sing it back to em. then they made me do all these scales etc. and i NAILED EM. they got me all the way up to like high F or something like that. it was pretty cool.

the play is Wheres Charlie, some old play. ive never heard of or seen it, but its supposed to be funny, and im best at comedy plays.

hmm. so tomorrow i will know if im in (ill ask the director in theater class.)

i hope i am. i love being in plays.

good luck dude, though I don't think you really need it

(is high F like the F that is an octave and a half above middle C? or is it like 2 and a half? would it be like 1st fret of the 1st string, or 13th fret? sorry, I'm a moron when it comes to singing terms.)

yeah man i was impressed by myself with the high F. haha (and 6strngs- that would be the F on the top of the treble staff. sooo an octave and a few above middle C.) the highest id gotten before this was D. im a tenor or something. dont remember.

but the news is... i got in. donno if its a singing role or not as i dont know the play. but its the role of Photographer. and i will play it to the best of my abilities! :D

My band could use a singer, but you need to be able to hit a high G for an hour to get in.

Freshman year, I went from a Tenor 1 to a Bass. Yay puberty. Now, on good days, I can get up to an F#. On bad days, I struggle to get a D.

Anyway, congratulations - I love drama, it's my second biggest passion, next to music (and there's even music in drama - what else could you want?).

precicely, sir! hahha.

actually in 8th grade, i hit puberty and was a bass. and now ive been working my vocal chords alot and now its like a reversepuberty thing, and im a tenor. haha. crazy stuff.

and being in drama has definatly helped me music wise. it helps me be very at home in front of people/on stage as well as be able to use my voice the right way. very good thing to do. :D

*revives*

So today is the first performance night. We've been working on this play for two months, and I really dont think its all together yet. I mean, the first act- we have it DOWN. and it is pretty funny. the second act- is bad. just plain bad.

hmm. Maybe it will all come together these last three nights. Lets hope so. I mean, Im not nervous at all; I have all my parts down, everything memorized front and back. Thats my job as Ensemble member.

hmm. anyways. at 6, we have to go wing it. wish us luck? :D
