Just wondering if there was anyone who was good at writing Christian lyrics, who would be willing to help me with a four song project. I can do the vox, just can't write them. I'm going to do four songs, you would get full credit. Since I can't really find musicians in my area that are willing to do very heavy Christian music, it will probably be just for personal satisfaction. One of the songs is kinda done you can go to www.myspace.com/howardkolb and listen to "something heavy", I can of coarse lengthen or shorten verses and chorus's. My vocal style is proabaly closest to the band Kreator, heavy but you can understand what Im saying.
Thanks,
Howard

Jolly is better a lyrics than just about anyone here. JOLLY WHERE ARE YOU?
I suggest for some ideas you might listen to a band called 12 Stones. I did like your song though.

I'd reccomend just looking up some passages in the Bible, and use them for inspiration or lyrics.
That's pretty much how every Christian song is written.

So, Motorhead type vox? Lemmy-esque? hahaha, you totally ripped off Ride the Lightning. Ok, I'm gonna roll on some lyrics. Probably something old testament, Sodom and Gomorrha stuff. Raining Sulfur!
Anyhow, got a powertab of this you could email me? I'll email you my PM address. I'd love to write these lyrics!

Something like:
Laaaaand of sin!
Reaaaaalm of Pain!
Quiver now before your master
Judgement vistis those who dwell within
Harbinging the swift disaster
Rain of flames will purge your sin!
Sodom and Gomorrah
Sulphur rains from aboooove!
Sodom and Gomorrah
Men who feel not love
^that line is SO gone.
Yeah, I'll finish later. Class time.

Right on Jolly, thats cool. I will have to work on tabbing it out for you. I can rearrange it any way so if you have longer verses or choruses, that cool. The ride the lightning this is funny, didnt really reallize. Harmonies in a major key I suppose.......... :)

Nah, it's the slide into the powerchords. Then the harmonics are very Zakk Wylde, so that was sweet.

Very cool, man, again with a very middle eastern, diminished sound to it. I'm a huge fan of diminished 5ths, so this gets my seal of approval for sure...
Man, all these I picture more of a Force of Evil or at least Symphony X type vocalist.
