What the hell?

Is anyone else experiencing this? My forum page has imbeded itself into the main page. You know forum in the middle and links by inspiration on the left stuff like that.

I've got the same thing going on. Kinda strange. I know the search function isn't working either, so something is under construction. That's just my guess anyway.

A while ago several people suggested that I do this. And now I get it done and look at the thanks I get. :eek: I am not sure I like it either, but it is a good idea I think.

This change should integrate the forum into the site better. Lately we are getting a lot of people coming in from search engines direct to the forum, and it might interest them a little more to see the rest of what we do.

Anyway, let's let it ride for a while and we can always go back in a month or so if it hasn't grown on us or generated more interest among new people.

I think it's a great idea, seeing how a lot of people just come to the forum and don't know anything about the rest of the site. It is a bit odd, and I really don't like it right now, but I'm sure I will get used to it, just like I got used to the red and beige as opposed to the original green and white.

BTW, just nit picking here, but if you look to the left, "Nuno Bettencourt" is going past the window it should fit in. No big deal, but it looks kinda sloppy. Also, the messege area (the beige box) is wider than the blueish box it should fit in.

To be honest, I hate this new layout, everything's too cramped.

I don't like the new look. I have to scroll down a full page just to read any posts and the google adds on the right -> are stealing way too much space.

Good access to the rest of the site is a good idea, but this isn't a perfect implementation of it. A better idea would be to use flash pop-out menus. For example, see those 'by style' and 'by inspiration' menus on the left? Those could be made to fit in a very small area instead of taking up two inches of forum width.

now all the links to our names are gray and stufff... thats the only thing i'd like to see with the new layout.


this would probably be more useful for the beginners tho, which is a pretty major goal.
