Hey have you (or someone you know) put a tremolo bar
on a Les Paul, is it risky if i gave my guitar to a guitar shop to put a bar, is there a chance they might do something wrong and destroy the body? I am thinking to put a bar like Neil Young's do you know what it is?

I'm pretty sure you can put a bigsby of some kind on your 'Paul with a very few small modifacations- none really to the body. BUT you're looking at (around) $150. Basicly, the bigsby attatches under your strap button, and you'll want to replace your bridge with a roller bridge. Somebody also makes a trem bar that mounts right where your stop tailpeice now sits. That one is about $200. You'll find both with Stewart MacDonald's Guitar Shop Supply.

Have a blast... hope you have a good job to pay for all that stuff too.

Yeh, you can have a bigsby fitted, but get it fitted bye a guitar specialist rather than doing it yourself

Definately; you will want a roller bridge, and lets face it... setting intonation is a pain in the heiny.
