The Beatles sound

I'm pretty new to all this effects stuff, but I recently got myself a Zoom G2 effects pedal. It has a pretty good setting to emulate a Vox AC30 amp, but I was wondering if anyone knows any settings I can tweak to get some Beatles sounds out of the pedal.

Obviously, unless I use the Beatles' guitars in their amps, then it's not gonna be exactly the same - I'm just looking to approximate.

I'm using a Squire Stagemaster which I'm looking to replace with an Epiphone Casino at some point. If my budget will allow....

This probably isn't what you want to hear, but the best thing you could do is pick a Beatles track that has the tone you're looking for, and play along with it. The AC30 model is a good place to start, but don't limit yourself just to that. Another model might actually get you closer. You mainly just need to play around with your effects unit to get to know how different settings sound. That is the best way to learn how to get the sound you want... try different things until you find what works. Another thing to keep in mind is that what works for one person more than likely won't work for everybody. Good luck in your search for tone, it's a fun quest ;)

hmm.. funny... I just got this exact same question through AllExperts.
Like I said, you really need to duplicate the equipment if you want to be accurate. There's an excellent book available that details all the recording sessions along with pics so you can see mic placement etc..
Along with that, grab some of the UltraRare CD's with the outtakes on them.
Alternatively, go to usenet and look in the the alt.sounds.mp3.beatles newsgroup... they're constantly being posted there.
When you hear the raw outtakes, you can see how much processing was used on the final product too. You'll also have a hard time duplicating the reverb with modern equipment.
