I loooove wizard II necks! it depends on how much the monitor is worth to you. if it's worth $200+ to you, then no.. if not.. then go for it dude!

sounds like a good deal.

i'm guessing you've played it already and gave it a good lookover, jiggled the knobs and everything.

I'd say that at the very most the monitor is worth about $100 Canadian

well, find out how much the guitar costs when brand new, in canadian dollars, and if it is $500 (canadian) or more then I'd say it's a good deal.. if not, your friend is ripping you off. lol. then try to offer him something more reasonable, and see if he bites.

Ya man, he's your friend, and as long as your both happy...

On a related note, do you think $40 cdn is a good price for me to sell my friend a standard crybaby? (I guestimate that that's about $30 usd.)

That's a sweet axe. Beware though, I've read on the web about several of the Wizard II necks cracking. Most of them on the back of the neck just below the nut.

that sounds about right.. maybe $5 or $10 more.. depending on the condition. I've got mine sitting under my bed with less then 2 hours use on it... I was very disappointed in that pedal... and I have yet to try and sell it. maybe I should get to work on that.. lol

I prefer craigslist actually.. I am under 18, thus have no credit card, thus no paypal accout.. so meeting locally and paying cash works better for me..

while we are on the subject of the value of gear. I've got a boss PW-2 which is a pedal that was only in production for a few years. I bought it used for $40, and I decided it wasn't the tone I was looking for. I put it up for sale on craigslist for $40 (not telling them that that is what I bought it for) and I got several offers from people.. most of the time they said things like "i've been looking all over for one of these for a while" but for one reason or another, none of the offers went through.. so I still have the pedal. do you think this will become a rare and sought-after pedal over the next several years, and hopefully grow in value until it's worth is right up there with the vintage tubescreamers and such? because it's always nice to make a profit. :D
