Newbie Here! and could use some help

One thing that has always bothered me was the correct way to hold the pick, I've seen in diffrent books and magizines and there all telling me diffrent things, now I don't know if it goes with what style you are playing but I would like to play metal. Can anyone clear this up for me? thanks

The best way to hold a pick is the way it feels most comfortable for you. There is no "set in stone" way.

I agree...personally I use the more rounded end, and not the pointed one.
