When was it that "no" became the standard?
The all-powerful compass of bull****?
What god of heaven,
Some faceless creator molding and sculpting,
High atop his throne,
Removed from the paltry acquiescence of mundane cycles,
Tumbling and turning the pallid emotions of his creations,
What god delights in his walls,
his invisible boundaries,
None can cross?
Is this some act of mercy?
That men squander their lives
While all the time hearing No.
