I seem to have the same problem. I find myself singing and pausing as I switch chords rather then just constantly singing and playing at the same time.

By the way, "enuf" is not a real word.

Slow everything way down. Play really slow and concentrate on which syllables rest on which chord changes. Eventually you should get the feel.

I have always played lead, more like a violin, so when I played rhythm in the church band one week, i found it a real challenge to keep the rhythm, but eventually I got it using this method, and it's helped my style immensly.

get sombody who can sing and play to go over it with you slowly and mimic what he does first by playing with his voice then adding your voice to his a little later.

I learned by practicing easy songs like Knockin on Heavens door or even Alan Jackson's Livin on Love. Easy Chords and easy melody. Try these then work your way up.

im workin on it to. but ive been getting better, just by trying to connect playing fuctions with my singing functions in my brain, slow than fast, as always and feel the melody when you sing make your voice and guitar one instrament

I'd suggest trying to sing along to Bob Dylan's "It's All Over Now Baby Blue"...thats how i started

it just takes time to find a groove. once you get it, you'll have no problems. sometimes i even feel like i cant sing without a guitar to help me keep pitch and a beat.

you just need a song that you know by heart and thats very easy. just work with that one for a while and you'll be on your way.

I used to have this problem too..... The answer is simple....Learn the song so well you know it inside out and backwards.....as you do it randomly mumble in lyrics until you can incorporate the whole thing in....worked for me...start with two words here and there and keep building on it...It works for almost everyone
