wow, that's a huge budget! are you sure you want to spend that much on a 7-string?
well, if you've already made up your mind, then I say that schecter makes a C-7 blackjack, much like the C-1 blackjack, which gets wonderful reviews, except with a 7th string. and you'll save a few bucks that way... if you are looking to spend all your money, you can check out the ibanez K7... nice and expensive for ya!
keep in mind, I've only played a 7-string once in my life

The K-7 costs way more than it's worth, try the Rg7321 or the RG1527.

I know this is always my answer, but check out Carvin (sorry, im partial ;) ). You can get a neck-thru, USA made Carvin 7 string for under $800. And u can get it optioned out basically however you want; from fret wire options to flamed or quilted maple tops to pickup colors. You could spend $800 on a basic one (still comes standard with locking sperzel tuners!) or $1500 on one with a sick AAAA maple top or koa or walnut. It's wide open if you're looking to burn the whole $1500!

Ibanez make decent 7-strings, apparantly.

i'd go with the carvin. i checked out several different brands this summer and ended up buying a used carvin on ebay for about $400. plus, if you buy used then you won't lose as much money if you decide that you're not going to play it as much as you anticapate.

I agree, do yourself a huge favor and at least consider getting a Carvin.
