I've been looking through a few websites www.bandmix.com and www.jamconnect.com , bandmix wants you to pay to reply to ads after you set up a profile, jamconnect is totally free, was wondering if anybody knew any other free sites like jamconnect.com for musicians to hook up that don't trick you into posting a profile.

btw, I'm looking for a drummer and bass player in the Orlando area who are into stoner rock , metal (no screamo) or post punk stuff (ie: high on fire, No Repent, Pixies, Soundgarden, etc)

thanks in advance,
Kerri

Best thing is to go to music stores and put up a flyer. Make sure to put up your experience level. You never know what you'll get online.

choose whichever of those major cities is closest to you, then up in the upper left is a column that is labeled as "community" and in that column is one that says "musicians". click that one and search away!
