You've all seen spinal tap I presume? Is it just me, or is the scene where Nigel is explaining why his amps go up to "11" not one of the greatest scenes of any rock-related movie ever?

I love that part in the movie! Marshall jcm 900's were sorta modeled after that! The gain goes from 1-20! I thought that was a little ironic when I first saw the amp.

the best part is "Stone Henge" or "these amps go to 11"

as for Bad news tour being like a British Spinal Tap...um...sounds like regular old Spinal Tap to me (is it not British?)

Nope, Spinal Tap's American. Directed by Rob Reiner. The Bass player is the guy that does voices on the Simpsons.

Bad News Tour is a similar type of movie about a band called 'Bad News'
Much funnier than Spinal Tap in my opinion.

not hard...Spinal Tap is great, but not really the funniest movie I have seen.

I'm with z0s0_jp - love the part when the bassist gets trapped; although the expression on Nigel's face whilst explaining why it goes to 11 is classic...I've a sudden urge to watch the movie now...dammit, where's my DVD?....

I donno guys, I liked Spinal Tap, but alot of the movie was quite boring.

But I loved the cucumber in the drummer's pants :p
