Hey I am thinking about getting my next guitar. I want the best guitar in the price range of $200-300, possibly $400 but not really looking to spend that much. Can you guys post a link to a couple of guitars that are in the $200-300 range that are good guitars.

im gana tell you this.
You can find Mexican Fenders for roughly 350. You can get Squiers for 100-200. If your lucky, you can get a Epiphone for 250+. Thats my advice. Not much Gibson...If you wana look for online prices, go to guitartrader.com, or musiciansfriend.com

well, guitars in that price range are only a step above absolute beginner guitars... in fact... alot of them are absolute beginner guitars...
however, if you really want to find some serious guitars in this price range, check out this (http://www.rondomusic.net/al3000presthc.html)
read that features list again... now compare those features with a $2000 gibson... not much difference is there? don't ask me how these guitars are so cheap... but I've read tons of reviews and lots of people have said that they are BETTER then their $1500+ gibsons... check out some of the other guitars at www.rondomusic.net too, they have lots of good stuff for cheap on there.

Yeah I saw those guitars, they look really good for the price. Would those guitars be good for rock music (i.e greenday, smashing pumpkins, metallica, and ac/dc?) I would up my budget a little more but I dont have that kinda of money right now.

no need to up your budget... the agile I posted only costs $299. I'm sure that you could play rock on it. and if it doesn't sound the greatest, you could always get some new pickups in the future, but from what I've heard, it should play that style of music very well

dude, in all honesty, I would wate until I could up my budget...dont be impatient! you have a guitar at the moment, so you can afford to wait a while...you dont wanna buy yourself a new axe and then make another post like this in 6months...wait till you can really upgrade...not to a Gibson or anything...just to a nice guitar that you would be happy playing for years.
