Fender and Gibson are both very good.
I like Fender more, it's an instrument you can play any style you like. From country to heavy rock. Still keeping the charasteristic sound.

This is often debated in here. Pretty much, their is no better brand. You'll eventually figure out which style of instrument is best for you, may well end up owning both. Go out and play some guitars and see what you like. It's all up to you.

I would have to say that I like Giblsons better. I just love the style and the sound that they have.



And Kirk uses Gibsons sometimes.
