new floyd rose gtr?

hey yallllll

so yeah, ive been looking into a new guitar. my current SG is GREAT for sweet rythems and stuff, but when you go for the awesome solo, its so top heavy its hard to do.

so im wanting a new guitar that would be great for solos. i want something with a tremolo, perferably a floyd rose.

i found these two. the second one is about the top of my price range at the moment. i could keep saving even more, and plus the xmas season is comin upppp :D (cant wait- all new gear, baby.)

so here they are:
SX SEG1 STD Plus (http://www.rondomusic.net/segstdplus.html)
Agile AL-2500 w/Floyd (http://www.rondomusic.net/al2500blkfloydrose.html)

the first is a sweet-strat-looking thing, has 24 frets.
second a sweet LP-style guitar. 22 frets, set neck, better sustain.

so im leaning toward the second, its just.... a bit on the top of my price range. im cheap, you hear? lol and i know Agile is good, my SG came from them....


so i guess out of those two, would yall also go for the LP? and do any of you have a nice solo guitar for less than 300?

Thats a tough one.

You don't want a crappy tremolo.Soft metals and cheap manufacturing are often used for floyds on budget guitars.

Not all trems are made equal.Its no fun to flutter or divebomb and have it still go crazy out of tune.I personally wouldn't buy any floyd bridge guitar unless its an original floyd rose,schaller or the ibanez edge/pro(NOT the edge 2,3,trs 1,2 or the Z trem).

the other(better) locking trem design are kahlers,but you'll have a tough time finding anything under $2000 with that(unless its beat to hell).

You might want to save and get something with an original floyd,ibanez edge or edge pro.

But,for the price,the first one wouldn't be too bad(gotta love the 24 frets).

yeah, im gunna keep saving- those dragonfire guitars look pretty sweet :cool:
i just dont know if i can trust the first guitar- i mean its so.... unexpensive.

im looking into the ibanez at the moment. i understand they're nice shred guitars. definate plus there :D
