hey every can sum1 plz plz help me. im a keen acoustic guitarist and have been playin about 2 yrs now and hav written a few songs but the lack a little something, i really wanna beable 2 write sum solos for them but dont really know how, cud sum plz teach me the basic to writing solos, its for acoustic music if that makes any difference, thanx

Writte the chord progression that you are using for the song, and we`ll tell you what scale is compatible.
And we can take it from there.
And, it dosn`t matter the type of guitar you are using.

Do u know how chords are constructed? if so u will know that a major chord is made of the 1st 3rd and 5th so in Cmaj the notes are C,E,G and the Cmajor scale is C,D,E,F,G,A,B,(C octave) so all u have to do is learn the major scale first.. the Cmajor scale is easiest cause it has no sharps (#) or flats(b) so get that down..then start learning minor scales and so on.. then its just a question of learning how to improvise and come up with solos for your songs and listen to other artists and see how they construct their solos..

use ur chord progression...then use notes in those chords,then add a few passing notes
