ok I want ur favorites...not "who's the best in the world." The rating system is as follows: scale of 1 to 5 (the best)... 1. Voice (raspy, death, sing in different notes, whatever u like), 2. Ability to change styles (high piched, flat, death, rap, punk, whatever) 3. Ability to incite the crowd (trash talking or positive reinforcment, lol), 4. Notoriety (publicity + or -, what have they been arrested for or have they started a riot! Are they well known?)
Don't critisize other peoples picks! Just name ur own. Mine are kinda obvious picks, but hey, do u want nobody leading ur band??? Also, u don't have to go for ten picks, just name who u want.

1) Axl Rose, 5,3,5,5 Even if you hate him...most electric entertainer ever..needs to have one more run though
2) Bruce Dickenson 4,2,3,4 RESPECT
3) Rob Halford 5,3,2,4 RESPECT
4) Sebastian Bach 5,2,3,4 Super Voice (I hear the new skid row singer is really good, too)
5) Ozzy Osbourne 5,3,4,5 Never be another...his voice is too unique to duplicate.
6) Corey Taylor 4,5,4,3 This guy does it all...good modern voice...listen to Stone Sour
7) Phillip Anselmo 2,4,5,4 Could be one of the greatest ever if he'd realized that cemetary gates is his measuring stick..hard core alone getz u a 2.
8) Eddie Vedder 4,2,3,4 I hate his pollitical agenda but his voice is melodic
9) Angela Gossow 3,1,3,3 Pioneer for woman in DEATH METAL!!!
10) Dave Mustaine 3,2,3,4 What if he had been the lead singer for Metallica (not a knock on James, but Dave's a better singer)? His voice is unique, and great for heavy metal!!

I'm too lazy

umm, I like the lead singer for lamb of God, cause it's metal, but you can understand the lyrics, not like alot of other metal bands where you're kinda going "what's this song about?"

Alright i can think of a few:

Howard Jones (killswitch engage)
Zack De La Rocha (RATM)
Lajon Witherspoon (sevendust)
Corey Taylor (slipknot)
Alexi Laiho (children of bodom)
Max Cavalera (sepultura/soulfly)
Layne Staley (alice in chains) if he wasnt dead

Im a fan of the extremes (fastest, loudest,etc).. so heres my favorites.

Freddie Mercury - Queen (5,5,5,5) All that you need for a perfect vocalist.
Axl Rose - GNR ( 5,3,5,4 - Simply electrifying..He also needs respect.)
Sebastian Bach - Skid Row (Super Voice, great singer 5, 4, 3, 4)
Jim Gillette - Nitro (6, 1, 1, 0 :D)Though he sucks, im impressed, He can shatter glass w/ that f****n voice!
James Hetfield - Metallica (5,3,5,5) Solid vocal work, James rules.
Chris Cornell -Audioslave, ex-Soundgarden ( 5,4,4,3 ) His voice is just haunting.
Jimi Jamison - Survivor (5,2,1,1) Very underrated yet very good voice.
Robert Plant - Led Zep (4,3,1,5 just Respect, he's a Legend!)
Eddie Vedder - Pearl Jam (4,2,3,4) His voice is just unique, crowd pleasing.
Kurt Cobain - Nirvana (4,1,4,5) His guitar playing sucks but his voice is a killer

Let the controversy begin!!!

Id say you got that just about perfect...but let it be known that the Chris Cornell on that list was only around about 10years ago, and now's Chris would probably not make mine...

no time to do all the scoring thingys...but I think Bert Mckrackin(yeah, you spell it) from the Used Deserves a Mention....as does Benji Webbe from Skindred....and Billy Joe Armstrong from Greenday.

I think that's a fair comment - and I think I was basing it on his 'glory' day's in Soundgarden - he's still got a good voice I think, but I can see your point...

So, so far Dickinson's in the lead with 11 votes...or 2, depending on how you're counting Jolly's, :p
