1. Try a progression for example G D A then in the chorus try D A G it keeps the overall Sound of the song if you want the commercial Verse chorus verse chorus thing goin on. This method goes back to Mozart and Beethoven and has practical use today.

2. Another method is the finger picking to chord. By This I mean Finger pick G D A then go to the chords G D A to keep the overall Tonality intact.

3. Combine 1 and 2

Do not repeat the chord progression over and over. Variation is the key.

Try these methods before throwing stuff and see what you get. Everyone needs a starting point and these simple song structures can get any beginner
writing and exploring new structure in no time.

If I'm wrong tell me. If I helped tell me. If Someone is giving away Marshall stuff for free tell me.

Music123 has a contest going on right now to win free Jackson rr3 and a metalhead half stack. You could easily get 1800 bucks out of this and bag a tsl100. Thats what I would do if I won. Marshall heads are even better than mesa in my oppinion, because I like older, Ozzyish metal.
