Depending on where you are in the UK, I suppose you could still order tickets, you just might have to pick them up from the venue.

I'm going to see him in Nottingham on the 23rd, I can't wait. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes. ;)

I caught him back in March :D It was a hellacious show! He played alot of stuff off of P&W as well as his new album. Oh yea, Billy Sheehan kills the bass too!

Saw him at the House of Blues in Chicago and it was great.... despite standing for 7 straight hours.... The concert get kind of tedious after awhile (3 and a half hours of shred is too much for me), but he did break the monotony with a 45 minute acoustic set and had a good storytelling session with the crowd... which he's very good at. Billy Sheehan IS the best bassist alive... I know Flea, I've seen him play.... but Billy Sheehan is a machine. The "rythym players" for Vai are amazing as well... Dave Wiener and... forgot his name... I just remember the one guy because his last name is Weiner... They're both amazing. The other guy is probably going to end up being well known... he can paly right along with Vai... The drummer is off the wall too. Hes a young guy and he can play the skins... I was more impressed however with the opening act... Eric Sardinas. He played slide Dobro the whole time and put on a great blues show. I got to talk to him and his band and they're real cool guys. You definitely are in for a treat though!! Don't listen to people when they say you're going to need ear plugs... unless you're a girl... it's not THAT loud. It's one of the louder concerts I've been to though... Metallica at Conseco Fieldhouse was louder...

That was the most awesome gig i've ever been to. It was simply superb.

I would post loads of pics up but I accidently lost them all (long story), I was however able to salvage one pic by taking a screen shot of my desktop and then cropping it.

So here's the only pic I have of the night:

I would give my left nut for a time machine.

(I had a horrible feeling that was going to be Steve Vai in a coconut bar....long story, if you've not followed other thread's it's safer not to ask!)

Looks awesome dude - how long did he play for, what songs did he do, etc. etc.

And why does he look like he's not wearing any trousers?.....

He was wearing almost see-through trousers with some wierd pattern on them.

Hey played for roughly 2 and a half hours, it was great.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO SEE STEVE VAI LIVE SOMETIME SOON DON'T READ BELOW

Wouldnt' want to spoil it for you...

As regards songs, there was a lot, lol. I'll try and remember them all:

They opened with the start of Dying for your Love, the drum part, they all walked on apart from Vai, then Vai walked on and started playing Glorious.

After that it went roughly like this:

The Audience is Listening

(can't remember exact order after this)

Midway Creatures
Crying Machine
Building the Church
Call it Sleep
K'm-Pee-Du-Wee
Freak Show Excess
Whispering a Prayer

Somewhere there was a solo section from each member of the band, each one was brilliant.

Also somewhere in there was a 45 minute acoustic set, which was great! That included:

Sisters
The acoustic part of the Fire Garden suite
Rescue me or bury me
The boy/girl song

The encore was:

Liberty
My guitar want to kill
For The Love of God

There are probably a few that I missed as the set was so long! They did alot of jamming around which was cool.

But yes, fantastic night! :D

That's about the same format/set list as when he played in March. Did Sardinas open for him?

Yes he did, and I might add that Sardinas put on one hell of a show.

Oh yeah, add Lotus Feet to that list.
