HIT THE LIGHTS!
Your eyes are shiftin' as you shuffle your feet
gotta get...gotta get, gotta get home...
And as you watch your shadow crossing the street
You wonder what's the reason...The reason you can't be alone
Your head is hangin' as you start up the car
Shuddering...shuddering, sputtering, on
And as you drive you notice to your alarm
All of the lights are missing...you notice all the lights are gone
So as you stare into the blackness
You see the moving silhouettes
So slowly realize their actions
Any reaction...would be too late
For super...flying ninjas...OF DARKNESS!
Your love is fickle if it happens at all
take it back...take it on, take it away
And as you laugh behind invisible walls
You can't but help reveal it...Don't care what anyone has to say
You hate the people that you tend to ignore
And you tend...tend to ignore everyone
Your smile is vacant and as wide as the shore
Go on and smile widely...Go on, pretending till you're done.
And though you smile, it's really barred teeth.
But isn't that what smiles are?
And though your knife is always in sheeth,
It's not a help when you've been marked

The wind is freezing and your eyes are as cold
Shiverin'...shiverin', shiverin' out
And though you're coatless and you're wearin' thin clothes
I'm certain it won't chill you...in fact I have no living doubt
Your mind is racing as you lock up for night
Listenin'...Listenin' out for the latch
You're contemplating why you bothered to fight
They're just not worth the effort...emotions always need a patch.
And though you draw your breath in silence,
Your thoughts are one diminished chord.
