You use tags. Put the url of the image between [I.MG] and [/I.MG] (without the period in the middle of either of them.
If that doesn't make sense then click to quote this post and you'll see how I did it.

If you click on the Insert Image button. http://www.guitartricks.com/forum/images/editor/insertimage.gif A little popup screen will show up where you can paste URL of the image you want to show in the post.

HB subscribers can upload images directly to the forum.
I bumped up the max filesize on jpgs, so you can just upload it. Let me know if it doesn't work.

I was trying to upload an image directly and it didn't seem to work. It wanted the address of the image.

I was trying to upload an image directly and it didn't seem to work. It wanted the address of the image. You've been trying to insert an image into the body of your reply. You can only do that by linking to an image file that is on a website. That's why you need to have the web address of the file. What Jon was talking about was File Attachments. This feature of the Guitar Tricks forum lets you upload an image file from your own computer onto the GT server. There's a limit on how big a file you can upload, to keep people from tying up too much space with huge files.
Whenever you're typing up a post, it'll be listed in the Additional Options box below the text entry box.

So, to attach an image file from your computer:
Click the Manage Attachments button.
Maximize the new window that opens, so you can see what you're doing.
Browse to the image file(s) on your computer that you want to upload.
Click Open
Click Upload
Click Close this window
To remove an attached image file:
Click the Manage Attachments button.
Maximize the new window that opens, so you can see what you're doing.
Click the Remove button next to the filename in the Current Attachments list
Click Close this window
Nuttin' to it!
