Play a note, then play a note 2 frets up, listen to the notes, play them over and over, until you have them stuck in your head, then bend the original note to the the same pitch as the second note.

Friends, by Joe Satriani, is a good song for bends.

The Stairway to Heaven and Hotel California solos are good for that too

Other than learning actual solos, I'd also recommend trying unison bends. That's where you fret any note on the B string, then 2 frets up, fret the note on the G string. Now bend the G string up to match the pitch of the fretted note on the B. This also works for the E and B strings as well, only you'd have to go up 3 frets and start the bend on the B to match the note of the E string. This way you'll know how much you need to bend to and can more easily do it in pitch. Once you can do it fairly well, try to add some vibrato to the bent note for extra emphasis. So quickly, this would look like:
E|--------------12---------
B|--12----------15b17~~~-
G|--14b16~~~-------------
D|-------------------------
A|-------------------------
E|-------------------------

Yep, I know what you mean. I still have yet to perfect this, but I'm getting better. It takes quite a different approach than regular vibrato. But like with all things it just takes practice.

Adding vibrato to a bend is a very hard thing to master; just keep practising and you'll get it eventually.

ok, so you bend, right?

and as soon as your done with your bend, sort of...rock your finger back and forth so that it makes a wavery sound...

thats the best i can explain it.

When ever I do I very wide vibrato like Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, or Jon Donais type vibrato , I put my thumb on the back of the neck instead of anchoring it over.

Thats something I would try for vibratos.

To add vibrato to a bend...

When the string is bent to the correct pitch, slightly lower it and push it back up again to the same position. Repeat that many times, and make sure it is returning to the correct pitch everytime you push it back up.

Start off doing it really slow, then start to do it faster. It takes quite a bit if finger strength to get it down well
