Cool Edit Pro, beginner help

I've had it installed for ages but never use it other than to record practicing. I don't even know how to mixdown :confused: 2 tracks. Can someone help me get started?

Nothing deep, just how do I:
1. Line up 2 separate tracks I know are the same tempo.
2. Play AND record over an already created rhythm track.

Any beginner resources would be helpful too. Thanks!!

Search Google "Recording tips and tricks" click one of the sites and they should have toons of stuff for advanced and beginner engineers.
