I've been playing for 6 years, but i dont know the basics

So i've just been looking up tabs and learning them for six years now. And not continously, it's kinda just been a slight hobby. Buy for a long time i've really wanted to get into guitar much more seriously. I don't know very many of the basic chords, i dont know the first thing about theory, honestly i couldnt even tell you which string is which, yet i am easily an intermediate player, if not a hop or a skip from the next level. So whats the best way for me to fill in the missing parts?

also, i remember probably about a year back i was on this site and i remember seeing a thread about an educational game on theory thats free to download called something like Guitar Warrior. Does anyone know what i'm talking about or where i can download it?

You're thinking of Fretboard Warrior (http://www.francoisbrisson.com/fretboardwarrior/fretboardwarrior.html). It's a little game to memorize the names of the notes on the fretboard. Very Useful!
