I am planning on getting this tube preamp for my MXL vocal mic. When i plug a mic or a guitar into this device, what kind of cable comes out of it?

Download the PDF manual on the link you posted. It is right under the product description. It has all the info you need about this product. To answer your question though, it has XLR + 1/4 inputs and outputs. One of each. I'm planning on buying this little gem as well very soon.
