I've been playing around with that software for a few weeks now.
It started out as KeyHole but they wanted like $100 a year for it, then Google bought it and now it's free.
Majorly kewl that you can zoom in on all the places you every lived.
We should post pics of our neighborhoods.
Yeah, I've had that for a few weeks myself....very cool, and it amazes me how fast the images load.

I wouldn't be able to get an in-detail zoom in on my neighbour hood as it isn't as detailed as London, New York, Paris etc are. :(

I have a jpeg image using google earth of my neighborhood - but can't figure out how to attach it to this note. If someone can help, I'll post my home shot.

I've also had this a while. It never fails to impress me.
An incredible site with huge potential.

Wow! Very cool...I've done random image searches for satellite images, but I wasn't aware of this program. Thanks for the link.

And just for clarification...this isn't actually Houston (just referenced for convenience's sake). I live in a small town between Houston and Galveston.

You guys do realize that the images aren't live right? they're about 1-5 years old. I've seen building here that shouldn't exist anymore, and other things that should or shouldn't be there. It's a bit weird that i can zoom close enough to see my balcony in sweden, but not even close enough to get a blurry image of my neighbourhood in tehran :(

yeah, they're satelite images taken over a period of time.
The only pictures that come out clear are those in major cities cause of the cost I guess.
