Natural Scale - Formula

This formula is true starting at any note:

Start note/2 frets/2frets/1fret/2frets/2frets/2frets/1fret/......................

Do...........Ray......Me.....Far....So.....La......Ti.......Do.............................

If by natural scale you mean Major Scale, then you should think of it in interval terms instead of fret space terms.

E.g. The Major Scale: R 2 3 4 5 6 7, The Natural Minor Scale: R 2 b3 4 5 b6 b7.

w=Whole step H= half step
each fret on a guitar is a half step
8th half step is a octave which brings you back to your start
look for the pattern they are standard
actually it tells you how far to move from where you are or how big the jump is to next. Each space is a interval.
REMEMBER each is a half step two equal a whole step.

sorry spaces and leters don't match up but if you write it out yourself you will pick it up better.
minor start on 6th position on 2 octave major scale= which means repeeated twice or to get a minor scale just lower 3 6 7 positions of major scale .
sopatttern is major =wwhwwwh minor= whwwhww
