so, every single one of your guitars is taken forever, and you are given a choice between only 2 guitars and then that will be your only guitar for the rest of your life... do you take a Gibson Les Paul Studio, or a Gibson SG standard??? and why?

An SG. Never cared for the LP's. Ok well I care for them, they're nice, but I prefer an SG body style. We're not gonna be stuck on that island again are we?

LP Studio. They feel and play much better to me. But that's just my personal preference.

I'd have to go with the LP Studio as well. Just a matter of taste.

well, if you were, it would be some kind of crazy island that had solar panels for powering amps and effects... and tv... and a computer with wireless internet so you could still post on here.

SG.
Les Pauls are too heavy.

Akira

I would go for the LP.

SG unless I want to do some weight lifting in which case I'd go for the Les Paul.

yep... all the mesa's and marshall's and fender's and whatever else you desire... but only one guitar.

So we're only allowed one guitar, but we can have any amp we want?

Uh... explain.

the amp really wasn't part of the question to begin with... just disregard the amp. but if you had a choice between those guitars, which would you take?

I already said, the LP.

But whyyyyyyyy?? Now the amp has been introduced, I can't stop thinking about the logistics of this question.

The LP Studio. I've found the balance wrong on the SG - too neck heavy and difficult to play sat down...

I'd take the Les Paul. Never been fond of SG's. At all.

I would take the Les Paul... that should give me enough wood and parts to widdle a Stratocaster.

ok, the official, once and for all question is...

Which would you rather have, a gibson les paul studio, or a gibson sg standard if you had to choose between only those two guitars?

ok, so, there you have it. the amp was never part of the question. nor being stranded on a desert island. or anything else.

Funny how some people take one simple, basic, straight-forward question and read way too into it... I'm not any better though. I support reading into questions rather than just answering them. It's more fun when people get aggrivated trying to explain what they didn't think of and what they didn't care to think of than it is to just answer. So I ask you this... What amp would you take with you? Any guitar you want, but what amp would be your choice?

The amp question is tough.

Well, the way I was looking at it is if I had a choice to play a guitar for the rest of my life, if there isn't an amp, i'd want an acoustic.

I'd probably take my Envoy 110. It isn't that great of an amp, but its mine. I love it.

Akira

Well what was that quote about the Simpsons quote losing the plot all about when you've clearly quoted that losing the plot with Futurama is simply impossible and THAT's why you didn't know what Akira meant when he said that it wasn't a Simpsons quote OR a Futurama quote, and therefore causing minor confusion...?

Akira

when he said that it wasn't a Simpsons quote OR a Futurama quote, and therefore causing minor confusion...?

It was a Simpsons quote.

I edited an earlier post where (due to me being tired) I put it wasn't a Simpsons quote, when infact I meant to put it wasn't a Futurama quote.

Sorry for the confusion.

But since when was the quoted quote about the futurama quote realeted to the quote that was a quoted quote about nothing to do with anything to do with a quote about the simpsons quote which was clearly not a quote, as a quote is not a quoted quote and therefore, it was, in fact, a Simpsons quote that CONTAINED a Futuama quote...

SG, only because if you don't own a "real" LP, it's just not the same. (I own a "real" LP, trust me, anything else, is just not the same). I want an SG though, give me the crunch baby!
