Guitar Tricks - Slightly Distorted Amp

The clean on my amp is slightly distorted for some reason. I checked the cables and guitar so I know it's the amp. Does anyone know why it's doing this or have any suggestions to make it work again? Thanks

is your volume all the way, or near all the way up on either your guitar, amp, or both?

I have a fender frontman 25r and i have both my guitar and amp really low in volume.

does the amp have a gain switch?

if so, then turn it down aways.
