Raise or lower the action. Usually you get fret buzz from having your action too low. It could also be that your frets aren't evenly sanded.

Hence the post that I did in the "Fret Buzz" thread in Tech Talk...

Don't adjust your action from the bridge. When a fret buzzs as high as the 3rd fret it's not your bridge set-up that has cuased the buzz. When a tech sets up a guitar he will adjust the truss rod to compliment the set-up of the bridge. The tech that worked on your guitar probably forgot that a truss rod will continue settling after it is adjusted if it hasn't ever been adjusted before. Since guitars are made of wood... a very pourous, soft (in comparison to metal), and absorbant material... it will absorb moisture as well as release moisture... especially if your neck hasn't been sealed and coated with lacquer. But anyway... relieve the truss just a hair... like not even a quarter turn. This should allow the strings enough space without haveing to crank on the bridge... If you just paid for a setup then you don't want to mess it all up. Just relieve the truss rod just a tiny-tiny-tiny bit. It should fix the problem. Also... in the case of uneven frets... during a set-up the tech should have checked the guitar for uneven frets and either made the owner of the guitar aware of them... or crowned them. Unless the tech that you went to isn't very good at all... I think he would have picked up on the whole uneven frets thing.

hey, how much did you spend to have your guitar set up? I was thinking about taking mine in to get set-up, but, i want to know what a relative price range for that would be before I go... so, yeah...

>"EVERY string is buzzing on the 3rd fret"?

Somebody sold you a piece of wood with elastic bands attached or something's majorly wrong here.

sounds good to me, I just didn't think it would be worth getting like a $40-$50 setup on my $140 guitar... but $25 sounds good, I'll probably take it in unless I can convince my parents to let me get this (http://www.rondomusic.net/gg1supreme.html) or this (http://www.rondomusic.net/product408.html) (I picked them out only because they have some expensive features for such a small price, and I read some good reviews) but I can't decide between getting the one with the grover tuners and the better body shape, or the one with the mahogany neck and the better paint job...
