lo, i just got hold of a new crafter FX 550 (like this http://www.crafterguitars.com/gallery-regular/fx_550eq_ms.php3 )
i got it in transparent blue too just like the image there......
Ive had alot of trouble playing the guitar as after 10 -15 mins i get a sore arm where my right arm lays on the top of the guitar. -- its been hot the past few weeks so maybe my arm isnt quite dry or maybe the air is more humid (it feels humid) but the net result is that after about 20 mins my arm hurts so much with a rash i have to stop playing.
The top of the guitar feels a little sticky too, and i want to know if there is anything i can do to smooth this surface without knackering the finish of the guitar (sand paper is out i think?)
Its got a spruce top on it and the back is a rounded shallow poly/plastic so i dont think the rash is coming from there, it mostly hurts on the 2 inches from my elbow down so my guess is its got to be the friction of arm on the top.
Im hoping the finish would wear down after a while, but that could take years...... Any ideas ?
