Jems are the only guitar by Ibanez I actually like. But I also like my SG so I'm not going to lean in favor... certainly not with my SG being in hearing range. Might get jealous.

actually, I've never tried either guitar, I'm just going off of what I've researched on the net.

I did say that I would probably take a sg supreme over a JEM not definately

heh... my pic of an Ibanez Artist guitar (from experience)

http://www.left-handed.com/acatalog/boomerang-skyrider-small.jpg

Sorry man, but I bought one of the original Ibanez Artist Blonde guitars that were ever manufactured and it was like playing a heavy banana covered in cellophane.
Within 2 months it had warped so bad I couldn't play it anymore. The neck was covered in some shiny shellac or something that made your fingers stick to the fretboard.. the electronics would feed back the local CKRB radio station... and the tuning pegs were so tight I needed a pair of vise grips.
...hence my reason for never buying an Ibanez ever again.

YMMV, as they say...

I spent some quality time with one (tobacco 'burst) a couple of years ago, and liked it almost as much as my 'Brand X' Yamaha SBG1000. Low action, no buzz, sweet tone, and great sustain.
