Guitar Tricks - floyd rose help

i have a squier strat (by fender) and i wanted to know if its possible for a floyd rose to be installed in... how much would it cost about.. thanks

This doesn't really answer your question but there Squier Fat Strats with genuine Floyds made in the early 90s in Japan apparently. They had a single tone control.

It probably wouldn't happen easily, I wanted one on my squier while I was still using it and your probably better off using the regular trem and getting a locking nut . To have a floyd on a squire though, alot of wood would have to be dug outto make room for it, By the time you had that done, had someone install it, and pay for the whole $120 dollar system you could probably have a decent ibanez with one.
