Avril Livigne?

I've been trying to learn Avril Livigne gutiar music because she is my best friends favorite singer and i would like to play a song for her. :cool:

but "avril lavigne guitar music" sounds really amusing.
yea, she can play, if u think some basic chords enough.
if u'r serious (but i hope u'r not) it's so meaningless and easy to playin like her...

last thing i remember about her, she smashed a telecaster in her video.

This isn't really a tech question... not at all...

If you want to learn some songs by Avril Lavign (sp?) just go to a site like www.ultimate-guitar.com and search for her name. They will have tons of tabs that should keep you busy. One thing to practice, if you're having trouble learning her songs (I suspect that you are, which means you haven't been playing for very long)... practice chord changes and strumming. That's all that she does. She gets 3-4 power chords and just strums them over and over...and over.... and over..........and over. You get the picture.

I tihnk Avril is kinda cool myself. She's not the worst I've ever heard. Her songs are catchy and I can listen to her songs. I don't see anything wrong with her. Who cares if her songs have only 3 chords in them...Are you making the money she's making? Didn't think so. She's doing something right and my hat goes off to her.

I don't really care for her myself either, but I saw her and her band on that Metallica tribute on MTV playing Fuel. They rocked on that song...I remember saying to myself, "why don't they play like that all the time?"

I kinda enjoy Average Lavigne.
I have both her albums and a dvd(which is especially good!).she is not my favourite, but from from my least favourite(theres gotta be one word for that...help me think of it...)

my brother and I once went to this signing thing of hers, like an in-store...but the security didnt let us meet her, they said they had had problems with "fans" assaulting and verbally abusing her, and we didnt look like the usual avril fans...so that sucked...and we really werent gonna hurt her...honest!

I respect Avril as a musician, and like I've said before... I respect anyone that has "made" it. I just think she has created herself into somewhat of an oxymoron... She took an attitude of "anit-pop" and "pro-punk"... but yet she is continually being marketed as a pop star. It's not her fault, it's her labels fault... but still... I respect people who stand for their values more than people who are willing to make a dollar any way they can. Even if it means turning your back on what you've tried to stand for. But when it comes to Avrils music... I don't really care... I have the power to change a radio station just like everyone else
