nut width

New to the game, problem for like three months is my fingers are to big for my sons strat and ovation. Does anybody know of wider nut widths. I read danelectro has a new 12 string with a 2" nut but have not tried it yet. help!

You should have no problem getting an acoustic with a wider fretboard than the ovation. For an electric, maybe a les paul?

Thanks Jon for the reply, I haven't tried many outher guitars and most people tell me to stay with it and see what happens but I now have calluses I could **** fight with and I still mute out a string or two. Thanks again for the advice. Oldman
