anyone got any good lessons or anything links anything that can show me how to play more of his style??? hes my fave player and i would like to learn a lot more of his stuff and the techniques he uses i know with Miles he used some semetrical scales on the Jack Johnson recording. I have one 2 page lesson of his in G1... anything else u guys have that could help me out would be great thanks..

Well he does have that new DVD "THis is the way I do it" Basically its like hours and hours of instruction from John McLaughlin. Get that, it should be awesome.

This is pretty much priceless to a Mahavishnu fan.

It's the songbook for Inner Mounting Flame and Birds of Fire. It has all the instruments too.

I've been playing around with Mclaughlin stuff for years and can get a decent handle on it, of course not the mastery he has, but I try.
