in the near future i will be buying a fender hot rod deluxe amp, however they are very very loud amps and i know you can get attenuators to lower theyre volume, i was just wondering if anyone knew where i could buy one of these(in britain) and which one to buy because i dont know a lot about them.

1st..remember using an attenuator will require more power from the tubes which in turn will wear them out faster.

2nd..You could just build one for $10.

3rd...Attenuators are very expensive.

Yep you are right on all accounts however relative to a disorderly house / noise pollution ticked form the local constabulary, they aren't that expensive !!

They do also suck some of your tone however Id rather pay that price than risk blowing my output transformer using a badly made homemade one !!

Weber Load Dump (http://www.weberspeakers.com/weber/atten.htm)

I'm using it with a Hot Rod Deluxe right now and it works great.
