I finally found a use for augmented chords! Apparently they're good for more than just slamming out during tense moments in soap operas! E.G. You slept with my father's ghost?! (AUGMENTED CHORD!) I was writing a little classical piece for piano and I'd just used the VI chord just before the final cadence, and I didn't want to go V-I of V7-I So I used III but instead of it being the normal major, it was augmented. Let me tell, you, gentlemen, it is a sexy sound.

I've just put one out thanks Jolly, maybe next time !!
Well if it is an augmented 9th go on then.
They are just the best chords to end a bit of 12 bar on !!!
like in the jazzy blues jam !!!
oh yeaarrrrrr

Ohh, good thinkin'! Hey, is the jazzy blues jam a regular 12 bar I IV V type thing? Or does it have a III instead of the four?

Hahaha, sure you are, man. Well, I III V sounds pretty cool if you ever want to experiment over it.

The V chord augmented sounds pretty cool too. i.e. V7(#5), then resolve to the root for something traditional, or VIm for something alittle different.
