I haven't been playing electric long, but I just got a new practice amp that I thought I would recommend if anyone is looking for one. The Roland Micro Cube is small and not that loud compared to some other amps. This amp makes up for that by the quality of sound and features that it has. I paid $120 for mine. It has 6 amp settings for acoustic, JC clean, black panel, british combo, classic stack, and rectifier. It also has chorus, flanger, phaser, tremolo, delay and reverb all built in this little amp. You can get tons of different sounds out of your guitar without spending any extra or having to carry around all those pedals. Also has a aux in, record out/phones and a tuning fork. It even runs on batteries if you want but I haven't tried that out yet so can't say for sure how long they will last(suposedly 20hrs). If you are loking for a small high quality practice amp this one is it. If you see one in your local music store check it out. I highly recommend. I use it with an Ibanez rg370.
