Hello

I am a new member so i think i might need lots of help from you guys... i have learnt guitar for 2.5 years now but still not very good at theory... i am trying to form a band to get myself to practice but i think its better for me to know a bit more about guitar fundamentals.

Don't let your lack of theory put you off getting into a band. Working with other players is the best way to learn new stuff, and gives you strong motivation to get even better.

As the good Doctor says, there's a lot of good stuff in the lessons section. He should know - he posted a lot of it! :)

Welcome, welcome, welcome! And... uh welcome. There's plenty to be learned here, and all over the internet. I agree with not slacking on a getting a band together, because it is true (atleast it has been for me) that bands motivate one to get better. And stuff... and junk... and ha... welcome. :)

Hello, I'm new to this site too.

My 15 year old daughter has just brought herself a guitar and seems keen to learn. I'm hoping that we can get enough info from this site to set her off on the road to stardom (well, strumming at least).

Anyways, we haven't subscribed to the high bandwith all singing all dancing service... do you think we'll get enough info from the standard subscription?

Yea, this site is still packed with lots of free usefull info, including asking questions in the forum. Make sure you use the search button before asking questions so your problem could be solved quicker.
