this is a metallica inspired concept song. this is just the rhythym guitar and solo, the melody will be played on keyboards what my brother records it. its the one called "awaken"

and if you dont like soundclick heres another one (dont know if its better but its a different one)

if you get bored with the rhthym guitar, please just skip to 4:50 in the song because im not sure if my solo fits the song (1/3 of it was planned while the rest is kind of improvised so its sloppy, but i just want to know if its the right "feel").
thanks for the listen, hope you like it.

It's hard to tell what a finished song is going to sound like from listening to one track, but I have a couple of suggestions.

The tone settings for the rhythm track need to be moved up a bit. The bass should be rolled off a bit so that it won't disappear into the actual bass line when that is added to the mix.. You need to add more mids to give the guitar a voice to work with, and some more treble to keep it from getting lost behind the lead guitar.

As much as I love whole tone scales, that backing may not be the approriate one to play them over...

Honestly...I'm not feeling the Metallica in that...it has potential, but I think it sounds too happy...somthing about the chords you use. I don't know I turned it up as loud as I could and I just couldnt get that headbanging drive out of it...ya know it just wasn't bonecrunchy enough...I'm by no means saying I could do better I'm just saying I didn't work for me as an individual...sorry dude.

To be honest, I didn't like it much.

But you've only been playing 3 months, so that aint bad.
